Book Review: Beautiful Creatures

The setting was perfect, the old creepy and enchanting southern town. The point of view was refreshing: a sixteen year old boy (first person). The characters were memorable: Witches that are called Casters…but are witches nonetheless. The dopey and likable best friend – and a plot that was carefully crafted with a B/C story of a Civil War Reenactment that was supposed to climax with the A story of teenage boy in love with teenage girl caster – unfortunately, it didn’t quiet pull through.

Things I would’ve like better: MORE ACTION PLEASE!

Would I recommend the book to my peers? Absolutely

Do I think its crossover to adult? I don’t think it quite makes it all the way.

From a one to ten scale, I give it seven magic wands.
