What am I listening to? Tied up and Twisted

I am embarrassed to admit I have been listening to Top Forty music the last couple of weeks. Yeap, you know the line up right?

Usher and Will I Am – OMG

Flo Rida – Club Can’t Even Handle Me

Far East Movement – G6 (okay, this one kinda rocks the house)

Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull – I like it (swore to never like Enrique Iglesias… and here I am – liking a song called “I like it” – truly ironic and a little sad on my part.)

Eminem and Rhianna – The Way You Lie (Although I have to do a sidebar and admit I have always been a HUGE Eminem Fan – that man’s a poet and such a sign of the times – Come on, Eminem? Marshall Mathers? Slim Shady?)

Taio Cruz – Dynamite

BOB – Airplanes

Kanye West – Runaway

Okay, so you get it. What’s going on with this alternative chick listening to all the Top Forty hits?

Don’t ask. Believe me, I am as frightened as you are right now.

Then, out of the blue, today…this song came into my mind and I can’t get it out of my head. Remember Dave Mathews? Yeah, like a million years ago? Okay, like 10? Crash Into Me? Talk about a poet!

Tied up and twisted the way I like to be, for you for me…come crash into me….

When that song first came out I sort of liked it, but I was too busy in life to notice the beauty of the lyrics. Ten years later, it hits me like a ton of bricks.

And here it is…
