Whatever happened to “The Secret”?
For those of you who don’t know what “The Secret” is – let me let you in on it. It is a documentary that explains, in detail, the amazing power of positive thinking (explained through quantum physics even!). When “The Secret” first came out, it was one of those things that people just could not get enough of. Oprah endorse it and the whole bit.
Everyone and their mother was into “The Secret”. Folks everywhere were making vision boards like they were going out of style.
Then one day, talking about “The Secret” became a blasphemy. Suddenly, it wasn’t cool to talk about vision boards, or to mention that the Universe will provide if you ask it to. Having everything you ever wanted started sounding so….preposterous.
The Secret became a “secret” again. Those who are into The Secret must now believe in it undercover…for fear of being ridiculed by their pessimistic buddies.
It’s up to you to choose what to believe. There are only really two choices. You will believe or you won’t.
